CutLab privacy

Account and Google sign-in

We store your email address and account identifier to let you sign in and access your edits and subscription. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides your verified email and Google account identifier. We use these for authentication and account linking. CutLab does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or calendar, and does not retain Google access or refresh tokens. Sign-in is through Google. CutLab does not collect or store your Google password.

Your videos

When you upload a recording, CutLab processes its audio and video using Google Gemini and cloud processing hosted on Vercel. Original recordings, edited videos, job details, and account records are stored using private Vercel storage. Upload only recordings you have permission to process. Google and Vercel receive the data needed to provide their services.

Billing

Stripe collects card details and processes subscriptions. CutLab stores a Stripe customer reference and edit-credit records. To limit repeated free trials, CutLab stores a hashed identifier derived from Stripe’s card fingerprint. Raw card numbers are not stored by CutLab.

Completion emails

When email delivery is connected, we send a download link to the verified email on your Google account when your edit is ready. Our email provider receives your email address, video filename, and the download link to deliver that message. Anyone who has the link can download that video until it expires or you delete it. These are service emails about your edit.

Cookies and service records

CutLab uses cookies to maintain your signed-in session and protect the Google sign-in flow. Service records, including job status, request limits, and error information, help operate and troubleshoot the app. Account and billing information is used to provide access and enforce the plan’s edit limits.

Retention and your choices

Recordings and finished edits are available for 30 days after editing completes, then become unavailable and are removed during scheduled cleanup. Failed recordings are removed after 30 days. The studio shows each finished video’s expiry date. You can also delete recordings and finished edits sooner through the studio. Deleting a video does not delete your account, billing history, or credit-use records, and signing out does not delete stored data. Contact us to request account-data access or deletion. You can cancel your subscription through Manage billing and remove CutLab’s Google connection in your Google account settings. Removing that Google connection does not cancel a Stripe subscription.
